: TPTZ Method |
|
PRINCIPLE The automated procedure for the determination of Iron is based on the formation of a violet complex of ferrous ion with 2,4,6-tri ( 2” pyridyl )- s -triazine [TPTZ]. Hydroxylamine chloride is used to insure reduction of any trivalent iron to mits divalent state, and a citrate buffer provides the proper PH for the color development. The color intensity is measured at 590 nm |
